Location: Dover, OH
Owner: USACE, Huntington District
General Contractor: Brayman Construction Corp.
Value: $1,763,789

This project consisted of the erection of a 600lf drilling platform on the downstream outflow side of the historic Dover Dam in Dover, OH. The platform was composed of nine individual monoliths, each capable of supporting two drills, mounted upon sub-columns of varying length.

The platform was completed with 6in grating that was removable in strategic locations in order to facilitate drilling on both the face of the dam as well as below the water level. The platform is expected to remain in place for a period of two years as part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Dam Safety Assurance project.
